Security of Payment legislation gives everyone in an Australian construction contract chain hard statutory deadlines: a respondent has a fixed number of business days to serve a payment schedule, payment falls due by a statutory default date, and the right to adjudicate expires if an application is not lodged in time. Miss the payment-schedule window and the respondent becomes liable for the full claimed amount; apply for adjudication late and the right is lost entirely.
Enter the date the payment claim was served and this calculator returns every statutory deadline under the NSW, QLD, VIC or WA Act — each with its section citation and what is at stake if it is missed.
