Can my foreman clock on?
- Open the Dash on your phone. Today, at the top, shows each job you are rostered on today, with a Clock on button.
- Press Clock on. The job then shows the time you clocked on, and the button becomes Clock off.
- It is about you, not the job the Dash is open on, so it works from any job. You can be on the clock on one job at a time only. While a shift is open, the other jobs have no button. A shift left open from last night shows as its own card, with Clock off.
- You can sign on if you are on your business's crew list and rostered to that job today. The crew list makes somebody clockable, not their role. So an office admin who works on the tools can, and a project manager who never leaves the office cannot.
- First, add somebody to the crew list: from People in Company admin, from Your crew on the Schedule tab, or by asking the assistant. All three write the same record.
- Then put them on the week under This week on the Schedule tab. You need both: the crew list says who, and the roster says which job.
- It is the same attendance record your crew make. So the day on the site diary shows the person who runs the job, not a gap where the supervisor should be.
Worth knowing
A sign-on from the office side never records where you are. YourCA collects location only from a site login, and only under a written surveillance notice that has run its fourteen days. If the Today card does not appear, you are not on your business's crew list, or not rostered to anything. The Dash then draws nothing and does not explain, because a sole trader who never clocks on should not open the product on an apology. Set both on the Schedule tab, under Your crew and This week.
