How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I sign in to YourCA?

  1. Sign in on one page at yourca.ai. Enter your email address. An eight character code arrives, written as two groups of four, such as K7PX-4MRD. There is no password to lose and nothing to install.
  2. Type the code the easiest way. Capitals or small letters, with or without the dash, all work. YourCA reads an O as a zero, and an I or L as a one.
  3. If a code stops working, press Send a new code. The new code always starts fresh, whatever anybody typed into the old one.
  4. The same email has a Sign in to YourCA button, for when the code is hard to type. Press it, check that the page names your address, and press Sign in. It works once, and only until the code runs out ten minutes later or you ask for a new one.
  5. The page answers the same way for every address, with or without an account. That is on purpose: nobody can type addresses into it to find out who works for you.
  6. A code only goes to an address with an account behind it. If none arrives, the usual reason is that nobody set that address up yet. Nothing is broken.
  7. We set up new businesses. Ask through the form on yourca.ai, and a person reads it. If it is a fit, we create your company and email you. You sign in with the address we set it up on.
  8. You add everybody else in your office, under Company admin and People. Add them, open their name, pick an access role and press Send them an invitation. They then sign in the same way. An estimator, a project manager and a bookkeeper are all the same act, and their role decides what they reach.
  9. Site crew are different and simpler. Give them a login on their row under Your crew on the Schedule tab. They sign in on the same page as everybody else and land on the clock. The account decides what a person gets, not the page they came in by.
  10. If your whole company uses one email domain, ask us to map it. Then anybody who signs in on that domain joins your account, with no invitation one at a time. They join as a member, on no jobs, until an administrator gives them a role and puts them on a job.
  11. One browser holds one account at a time. If you sign in as a second account in another tab, every tab you already had open moves to that account. So you cannot have your own company open in one tab and a different one beside it.
Worth knowing

One address belongs to one company. If somebody already has an account elsewhere on YourCA, YourCA refuses an invitation of that address into yours. It does not move them. They must sign in to the account they already have. Also, one browser holds one account. If you sign in as somebody else in a second tab, the tabs you already had open move onto that account. Anything half typed and not saved in them is lost.
