How do I save my signature?
- Open Settings from the account menu and stay on Profile. Your signature is under your name.
- There are three ways, and all end in the same place. One: draw it with a finger on a phone or with the mouse on a laptop, then save it. Two: photograph your signature on a sheet of white paper. Three: press Upload an image and pick a picture you already have.
- Use Upload an image when the office scanned it, or you saved it from something you signed before. Whichever way you choose, your own device takes out the background. Only the ink leaves the browser.
- Draw it with as many strokes as your signature needs. Most signatures are more than one line, so when you lift the pen, only the stroke ends. Keep going. Press Use this signature when the mark is the one you want. If it came out wrong, Start again clears the pad.
- It is on your account, not one browser. So it is there on the site phone and on the laptop in the office.
- When you sign an inspection point, a prestart or a certificate, the screen offers it. Pick it, and it goes on the record. The record says that is what you used.
- Remove it at any time. After that, anything you sign prints a blank signature line, for you to sign by hand.
Worth knowing
Only you can see it or change it. Nobody else on your account can read it, not even an admin. A signature somebody else can apply is not a signature. Your business uses a separate mark on documents issued in the company name. That mark is set in Company, against the person the profile names as the signatory. Also, it is not the email sign-off, which is words at the bottom of a message.
