What happens when my quote is accepted?
- Open the issued revision the builder said yes to. On Review, the last section of the quote, press The builder accepted it, beside the download.
- The same choice is in the dropdown beside the quote's name at the top of the tab.
- Record the date and the builder reference if they gave you one. Press Mark accepted.
- Only an issued revision can be accepted, because the builder accepts a document they actually received.
- Before it writes anything, YourCA shows you exactly what value schedule it would write. It includes every quote line that does NOT become a schedule line, and why.
- If a section prices its lines one by one, each line becomes a value line.
- If a section has its scope as text and states one subtotal, the whole section becomes one value line at that figure. YourCA does not invent a split by line that your quote never stated. That would put figures on a payment claim that the builder copy of your quote does not have.
- The new schedule must equal the quote total to the cent, or YourCA writes nothing. A schedule that is out by a cent makes every claim short, for the whole job.
- From there, Financials claims against that schedule. Your exclusions are in the accepted revision as the evidence for any variation.
- Options still open stay open. If the builder takes one up later, YourCA adds a line to the schedule. You do not raise a new quote.
- A job starts to count when you accept a quote, because quoting is free and running a job is not.
- If your free job is used and you have not subscribed, YourCA says so and writes nothing. An owner or office administrator gets a Subscribe press that opens Your plan in Company admin.
- When a job is running, you can claim on it right through to the retention.
Worth knowing
If the job already has a contract value schedule, YourCA records the quote as accepted and does not change the existing schedule. Two live copies of the contract value would drift apart. That job already counts against your plan, so YourCA never refuses an acceptance on it for being over your limit.
