How do I hide my rates on the quote I send?
- Each section has its own print setting. Every line with its rate and amount prints exactly that, plus the section subtotal.
- Scope and quantities, section subtotal only prints every line description and quantity, with no line figures, and one subtotal for the section. Most trade quotes look like this.
- The section name and its subtotal only prints exactly that, and nothing else.
- There is also one setting for the whole quote. It prints the scope by the section settings, hides every section subtotal, and prints one figure at the end.
- With that setting, the summary table also shrinks to that one figure. If it did not, it would show the section figures that the setting hides.
- None of this changes a stored figure. Your Quote tab, and Financials after the builder accepts, always show full detail.
- YourCA keeps the setting on the revision. A re-issued document prints the same way as the one before, unless you change it.
Worth knowing
An optional line prints its figure whatever the section setting says. An option that nobody can price is not an offer.
