How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I mark a quote lost?

  1. On the job, open Quote. Use the dropdown beside the quote's name, at the top of every section of the tab.
  2. Or press All projects on the Quote tab to see the whole book. Use the same control on the quote row, under Open or change status.
  3. Pick what happened. They went elsewhere means the builder gave the job to somebody else. We pulled it means you decided, for any reason.
  4. Nothing on the document changes. The figures, the scope and the revisions stay as they were, and you can still print it.
  5. Only They went elsewhere counts against your win rate. A quote you pulled never went to the builder for a decision, so it is in neither half of that figure.
  6. If the builder comes back to you, set it back to Out with the builder. It goes back into your live pipeline.
  7. To mark a quote ACCEPTED, use the quote itself. On an issued revision, pick The builder accepted it in the same dropdown. Before you confirm, YourCA shows you every line it writes to the job's contract value schedule.
  8. The quoting book does not offer accepted, because nothing can be written there without that preview.
  9. You CAN move an accepted quote off accepted, from either place. But the contract value schedule that the acceptance wrote does not change back. Nothing deletes or rewrites a value line, because claims may already exist against it. Correct it on Financials.
Worth knowing

Quotes decided before YourCA kept these two apart all show as pulled. YourCA does not fill them in afterwards. It does not know which of them you actually lost, and a guess would invent a win rate.
