How do I print the roster?
- Open Schedule and go to This week. Move to the week you want with the arrows on the band.
- Press Download, on the row of controls above the grid. On a phone it is on the band beside the week instead, so it uses no row of its own.
- On a crew of fewer than twelve, the row holds Download and nothing else. The grid is already easy to read for a small crew, so the filters are not drawn.
- There are four formats, and each says what it is for. PDF is the week as a document to print or send as it is. Word is the same document, for when you want to add a line. Excel is the working sheet. CSV is the plain file another system reads.
- It contains exactly what you are looking at: the week you are on, narrowed by any job, trade or suburb filter or search. The narrowing prints on the document, so nobody reads a filtered roster as your whole crew.
- Only the people with a day that week are in it. It says how many of your crew were left out. A printed roster with seventy-eight names and fifty of them blank is unreadable in the shed.
- It prints landscape, with a row for each person and a column for each day. Each cell shows their task and their hours, exactly as the grid shows them. The last row counts how many people are on each day.
- The hours column is what you rostered across every job that week, not what anybody clocked. The spreadsheet and the CSV keep those as numbers, so a column of them adds up.
- It is the document on your own letterhead, with nothing on it that names YourCA, because it goes out in your name.
Worth knowing
A week with nobody on it has no Download at all. A file of only column headings tells the reader less than no file. What somebody actually worked is a different question and a different file. For that, use Hours on the same tab, which downloads every shift in a date range.
