Can my guys see the drawings on their phone?
- They sign in on their phone with a site login. It is the same screen as the clock, under it, so there is nothing extra to find and nothing to install.
- The two things they came to check are on the face of it: the current drawing revision, and what the programme says. Neither is behind a tap, because a person who stands on site does not ask twice.
- Add a photo opens the camera straight away. When it sends, it files against the job for your office. So the evidence arrives the day it was taken, not at the end of the month.
- Sign a point lists the inspection points still open on that job, with what each one is measured against. It records a pass or a fail against their name. A fail raises a non-conformance for your office.
- Drawings show the CURRENT revision of each sheet, and nothing else. A superseded sheet is not on the list at all. The costly mistake is somebody who builds to a replaced revision.
- The programme shows the activities your office marked as yours, with the revision they came from. It is the plan for the site, not a date your business agreed to.
Worth knowing
They see only the jobs they are rostered to that day. YourCA works this out each time they open it, so a person taken off a job loses its drawings the same morning. Nothing financial is on this screen on any job, and that is not a setting. A photo taken on THIS screen does not queue the way a clock tap does. If it does not send, it stays in their camera roll and they try again. This is the one place in the product that works that way. On the Site tab, which you open on your own phone, a photo taken with no signal is held and sent when signal comes back.
