Why can I not save anything?
- Every screen, figure and document on it is the real product reading a real sample job. So what you see is what your own account does.
- The variations register takes edits, so you can see the most important part of the product.
- Add a variation and price it line by line. Record that written notice went, put it to the builder and record the approval. The register and its totals change as they would on your own job.
- Each row you touch says Added in this preview or Changed in this preview.
- Your action items take edits too. That is the other one worth trying.
- Press Action items in the menu down the left. On a phone, use Your action items in the account menu.
- Put your own items on the list. Type it in the box, and give it a job, a type, a date and a time. Drag it into the order you want. Tick it off and file it in the archive.
- The list there is the week of the demonstration owner. Anything you add or change has the same mark, so you can tell your items from his.
- Your job list and your crew list take edits too. This matters, because most people first want to try to start a job.
- Say "I want to start a new job" here and answer the questions, or fill in the form under Your jobs. The job shows on your list, in the job switcher and on the Dash.
- To add somebody to your crew, use Company admin, or say "add someone to my crew". Both have the same mark as everything else you do in the preview.
- Your browser tab holds those edits, and nothing else holds them.
- They never go to YourCA, nobody else on the demonstration job sees them, and they go when you close the tab. The notice along the foot of the screen counts them and offers to clear them.
- Because they never reach YourCA, they show only as far as the screen they were made on.
- The Dash and the Calendar read the same variations register. So a notice date or a decision you record there shows on both.
- Reports use figures the server adds up, and the server did not keep your edit. So Reports still show the demonstration job as it is. On your own account, the figure is the same everywhere.
- Payment claims take edits from start to finish.
- Save a draft claim or a revised one. The claim engine works out the totals from your figures, with the same arithmetic as your own account. Then nothing is kept on our side.
- Record the statutory declaration as sworn. Record the claim as served, and it gets its response and payment dates. Then record the builder's payment schedule, answer it line by line and see the reconciliation.
- The contract value schedule, retention and discarding a draft work the same way.
- You can also start a new claim, numbered on from the claims of the job. You can add a claim you served on paper before YourCA, with the dates the Act gives it.
- After the declaration is sworn, you can download the subcontractor's statement filled from it, signed or unsigned, stamped as a sample.
- A job you start in the preview has the same limit. Know this before you follow the link to it.
- The job is on your list and in the switcher, but its tabs are empty. It has no claims, no variations, no diary and no documents. If you drop a contract onto it, YourCA refuses.
- The count beside Your jobs does not change either. That number is your plan and your bill, and it only ever counts the jobs of the account.
- On your own account, a job you start is a real job, and every tab fills as you work.
- The same limit applies to a reminder you set on an action item here.
- YourCA raises reminders on its own side, and an item you added in the preview never reached it. So no reminder comes for it. On your own account it does, under What needs you.
- A variation you add here does get its written notice deadline, with the clause it came from. The deadline comes from the notice period this job records, and this job records one.
- If a job states no period, or states one that cannot be read as a number of days, you get no date and the row says why.
- Your own account follows the same rule. A deadline nobody can cite stays blank. YourCA does not guess it.
- A refusal is still a refusal, on purpose.
- If the product does not let you submit an unpriced variation, or decide again on one the builder already answered, it does not let you here either. A preview that allowed those would teach you a process that does not exist.
- The questions register on Documents is also worth trying, because it is the other half of what a subcontractor must prove.
- Raise a question and issue it. File a drawing against it. Record what came back and the day you accepted it. Then close it out.
- The refusals there are also real. A question nobody was asked cannot be withdrawn or closed out. An answered question is closed, not withdrawn. A closed question is final.
- You correct an issued question by raising a revision that supersedes it. You do not rewrite what was asked.
- The Quote tab takes edits too. Try it to see the whole shape of a job in one place.
- Start a quote, add sections, and type lines and rates. Add your standard exclusions from your saved sets. Issue it, then revise it and say what changed.
- The figures add up the same way as on your own account.
- An optional line stays outside the total until somebody takes it up. A line you describe but do not price does not count as nothing. A section that states its own subtotal keeps that figure. YourCA does not replace it.
- The refusals are also real. An issued revision never changes. A revision with nothing priced on it cannot be issued. A revision needs a reason before you revise it.
- Accepting a quote in the preview works the same as on your own account.
- The screen shows you every line that acceptance writes. After you press it, those lines are the contract value schedule on Financials for the rest of your visit.
- A quote raised or changed here also downloads as a Word document, marked as a sample.
- There are two limits. On a job you started in the preview, acceptance writes no schedule, and YourCA refuses the download. And if you take up an option after award, nothing is added to the schedule.
- Every other tab takes edits too. This is the change worth knowing about.
- Sign a hold point, write a diary line, attach a photo, tick off a prestart document, raise an order on Procurement, roster the week on Schedule, record a certificate on Handover, or raise a question on Documents and record the answer.
- All of these go into the same preview for each tab, and all have the same mark. None of them reaches the shared account.
- Your tab also holds a file you attach. You can open it again while the tab is open, and it goes when you close the tab.
- You can invite somebody to the account, change their role or remove them in the same way. The screen tells you clearly that no email went.
- The time of your crew works the same way.
- Set your standard hours, fix or confirm a shift on Hours, and approve a pay period on Pay. Then download the hours file, the labour document and the pay files.
- Each one is written from what you changed in the tab, the same way your own account writes it from what it stores. Each one is stamped as a sample.
- A delay you record on a diary day drafts its notice as a Word document in the same way.
- If you send the assistant a document, it refuses, and it says so before it takes one.
- To give it the payment schedule of the builder, or to drop a contract on a job, the server must do the work. This account cannot write what comes back.
- The assistant tells you this when you ask, not after you choose the file. Everything after that still works.
- Record a schedule on the claim in Financials, typed in or dropped there as the builder's file. The reconciliation shows the same as on your own account.
- The Contract tab takes edits too. Archive or delete a review, accept a risk, record what happened when you pushed back, and set the commencement date. Each change stays in your tab, and the review stays on the account.
- Turn on email reminders in a review, and YourCA shows the first email it would send. No email goes.
- On Learn, drills and walkthroughs are marked, and the lessons you open are ticked. Pass every area and you get a certificate marked as a sample.
- A few things are still refused, each for its own reason.
- A contract review is a large model reading your contract, and this sign in is published with the product. So no new review runs here.
- Add a version and press Start the review. YourCA opens a finished review of a sample contract instead, and says what your own review costs. Nothing is charged.
- Running a review again and asking a question in chat are refused for the same reason.
- Anything that leaves the building is also refused, because Stripe is the system of another company.
- Connecting Xero or MYOB looks different. It connects to a demonstration organisation, named as one. So you can set a job up and draft an invoice, and your own books are not reached.
- If you press Start Complete on Your plan, YourCA shows you what the return from Stripe looks like. It asks for no card and charges nothing.
- A chat top-up or a review checkout says what would be charged, and that nothing was charged.
- Your business details take edits, checked by the same rules as your own account. The ABN of the demonstration business stays as it is, because it is deliberately not a real one.
- You can also add your logo or a signature for the tab. Every document you download while the tab is open carries it.
- YourCA refuses the job email address for the same reason. An address made on a shared sign in is one any stranger could write to.
- Correspondence shows you a sample address instead, so you can see what to put in a CC line. Nothing can be sent to the sample. You can read what was already sent to these jobs.
- The site login on a phone is a different kind of exception, on purpose.
- Clocking on and signing an inspection point are the whole point of that screen. If they did nothing, there would be nothing to see. So they work.
- A preview edit is not kept, but what you clock or sign there is recorded on the demonstration job for the next person who looks. That screen says so before you sign in.
- A one line notice along the foot of the screen says which account you are on. Every main action gives the same reason before you press it.
- When you have read the notice, close it. It stays closed for that tab. A new tab shows it again.
- Press Ask for your own account on that notice, or email admin@yourca.ai. You get an empty account of your own that does save.
- While you hold preview edits, that notice offers to clear them instead.
Worth knowing
Anything you export from the demonstration account is stamped as a sample, and the business named on it does not exist. So nobody can mistake a document printed from here for a real one. This includes a document built on an edit you made in the preview.
