Can I trust what the assistant saves?
- Every question the assistant asks comes from the same field list the screen uses.
- So it cannot ask you for something that has nowhere to go. It cannot quietly put one answer in another field.
- It never works out an answer you did not give it.
- If you skip an optional field, it stays blank. The assistant tells you what a blank costs, and does not fill in something that looks right.
- The list of fields beside the conversation shows only what you actually told the assistant.
- The question on screen shows as asking now. A question still to come shows as not asked yet. Neither one shows as blank.
- A job number the assistant suggested does not show as yours until you say to keep it.
- The job number of the builder is the clearest case. If they did not give you one, it stays empty.
- Any document that would quote it prints the reason, not a number. A wrong number would send your claim to the wrong job.
- Nothing is saved until you read the card at the end and press the button on it.
- If a save fails, everything you told the assistant is still there, and it says what went wrong.
- The assistant never sends anything to a builder. YourCA fills in the document and you serve it. That is your act, and it stays your act.
Worth knowing
The assistant explains how YourCA works and what your own records say. It is not a lawyer, and it does not give legal advice. Check anything that depends on a deadline or a dollar figure against your contract. You can ask for a person at any point.
