How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I record a failed check?

  1. Press Assets in the side menu, then Due on the band.
  2. Press the tick on the row of the check that was done. The sheet Record a check opens.
  3. Pick Failed as the result.
  4. Say what happened to it: tagged out and not to be used, sent for repair, or retired.
  5. If it was on a job or with a person, YourCA puts it back in the yard. Untick Back to the yard if it stays where it is.
  6. Press Record it. The check stays due from the day it failed, so it stays at the top of Due until it passes.
  7. To retire an item without a check, press More on its row, then Retire it. Enter the day and why, and pick the item that replaced it if there is one.
  8. To move an item, press More on its row, then Move it. Pick the yard, a job or one of your people, and the day it went.
  9. Every move and every check stays in the History of the item, newest first.
Worth knowing

A retired item stays on the list with its history, under Show retired in the Filter. Nothing falls due on it again, and it cannot be moved or changed.
