How YourCA works, step by step.

Can I drop a file on any screen?

  1. Drag the file from your desktop, your email or a folder onto any YourCA screen. The page blurs and says Drop to add, with the job named.
  2. Let go. A box called What is this? opens.
  3. YourCA reads the file name and the first page, and picks what it thinks the file is. The line under the choice says what it saw, for example It has "Tax invoice" and an ABN.
  4. If the guess is wrong, open the list and pick the right kind. If no job is open, pick the job first. A job named in the file is picked for you.
  5. Press the button. It says where it goes, for example Open supplier invoice.
  6. The form for that kind opens with the file on it. Supplier invoices and receipts are read into the boxes. A certificate of currency, a programme and a practical completion certificate are read too.
  7. Check every box against the paper, then press the form's own button to save it.
  8. Drop several files at once and each gets its own line. Photos and plain files go together. A file with a form opens one at a time, and the next one waits behind a notice with Open next.
  9. A screen that already takes a drop, such as Supplier invoices, Drawings or Files, keeps its own drop and skips the question.
  10. On a phone, press the middle button on the bottom bar, then A file, and pick it. On Android you can also share it to YourCA from any app. Both open the same What is this? box.
Worth knowing

Only kinds your role can reach are offered. A receipt for a cost needs the pay run permission, because it is part of Margin. If a sheet is already open, a drop does nothing, so what you typed is never lost.
