Why does my claim say record the day you served it?
What it does today
Connecting Xero is not open yet. Today you record the served day and the payment on the claim yourself, as usual.
- Connecting Xero is not open yet, so none of this happens today. The steps below are what happens when it opens.
- Open Financials, then Claims. The claim shows Paid or Part paid, with Record the day you served it under it.
- Open the claim and record that you served it, with the real day you gave it to the builder.
- Serving puts the claim first in the next look at your books, so the payment comes across within minutes.
Worth knowing
MYOB is not part of this: its sales order carries no paid state until you invoice it there.
