How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I copy items from another job?

  1. Open Procurement on the job you want the lines on. Press More (the three dots beside the search), then Copy from another job. On a phone More is on the title line.
  2. Pick the job to copy from. The list shows only the jobs you can open that have lines, and never the practice job.
  3. Its lines show with a tick on each one. Untick what you do not want. A line already on this job, with the same name and the same supplier, shows Already on this job and is left out.
  4. Press Copy N lines. Each copy lands on this register still to order.
  5. A copy carries the name, the supplier, the description, the specs, the quantity and unit, the trade, the colour and the lead time.
  6. It never carries a date, a status, an order number, a price, a quote, a photo, a file or a chase. Those belong to the order on the other job.
  7. Each copied line needs its required-on-site date. Give it one, or link it to an activity on the programme, and the order-by date fills in.
Worth knowing

A lead time that was right on the last job can be wrong on this one. Check it with the supplier before the order-by date counts from it.
