How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I get the programme dates into procurement?

  1. First, drop the builder programme on the Schedule tab and confirm which of its activities are yours.
  2. Only your own activities show here, because a hundred other trades are on the same programme.
  3. On the Procurement register, press the line, or the arrow at the end of the row, to open it.
  4. Under Programme and dates, choose the activity it serves.
  5. YourCA cannot know that your tapware order serves the fit-off activity. So you say it once for each line, and YourCA reads every later revision against it.
  6. The date moves when you choose the activity. You press nothing else.
  7. The on site date becomes the start of that activity on the current revision. The order-by date is that date less your lead time. Every reminder counted from the order-by date moves with them.
  8. The panel then shows two lines: the on site date and the order-by date. Under them it shows the activity and revision they came from.
  9. Any change shows in red beside that source. There are three kinds: how far the activity start moved in this revision, that the line still follows an earlier revision, and that somebody typed over the programme date.
  10. If the programme cannot give a date for a line, YourCA LEAVES IT ALONE and gives the reason. It never blanks the date and never gives it a likely-looking date.
  11. A later revision moves the date again, automatically. That is the reason to link: the builder issues again, your dates follow, and the reminder before the order-by date follows too.
  12. A line with no link keeps the date you typed.
  13. If you cut the link, the date stays where the programme last put it. It does not go blank, and you can change it from there.
  14. You can edit every date, whether it came from the programme or from you.
Worth knowing

Order by is the activity start less your lead time, counted in CALENDAR weeks, because suppliers quote lead time that way. It is not a business day count, and it does not change by state. The programme is the builder plan, not your contract. So these are ordering dates only. Nothing here sets a claim date, a notice date or any entitlement.
