How do I say who the project manager is?
- Open the job, then press Directory in the menu on the left.
- Under Who runs this job, press Add somebody to this job. The fields open under the list. Until you ask for them, the panel is only a list of who is on the job.
- Choose the person under Who. Pick What they are on this job: project manager, site manager, foreman, leading hand, tradesperson or office.
- Press Put them on this job.
- For a person not on your crew yet, pick Someone new at the bottom of the list. Type their name. The same press adds them to your crew and puts them on the job.
- They can now open that job, and this job's notices go to them.
- Their part on this job is not their part in the business. A leading hand here can be the site manager on the next job. Each job reads its own.
- For a person on all your jobs, such as your bookkeeper, set it once on their own row in Company admin. Do not add them to each job by hand.
Worth knowing
Until somebody is on a job, only your Owner and Office accounts can see it, and only they get its notices. When you put the first person on a job, it opens to them.
