How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I switch jobs?

  1. Use the job switcher at the top of the menu on the left to move between jobs. You keep the tab you are on.
  2. The YourCA wordmark is not the job list. It takes you home, to the Dash of the job you are already on, and never changes the job.
  3. On a phone, the top of the screen is the wordmark and one button on the right. Press that button to open the panel for where you are: which tab, which section, which view of that section where there is more than one, which jobs it reads, and the same job switcher, under Which job.
  4. The Tabs slot on the bar along the bottom opens the same panel.
  5. Choose See every job inside the switcher to open Your jobs, every job you run in one table. Press a tab to leave that list and go back to the job you were on.
  6. On a fresh sign in, YourCA opens on the job with the most things that need you. Those are the same rows the bell over your initials carries, counted per job. Each row in the switcher shows that number, so you see why it picked that job.
  7. YourCA never picks a job that has not started yet. A job the crew has left wins only when nothing else needs you at all.
  8. When you pick a job yourself, YourCA remembers it. Every visit after that opens on it, until you pick another. A link somebody sends you always wins over both. So a claim they sent opens as that job's claim.
  9. A site worker signed in on a phone sees only the jobs they are rostered to. YourCA works this out fresh on every load; it does not hold it in their session.
Worth knowing

YourCA chooses for you only until you choose. It is also not sticky the other way, on purpose. It reads the count it ranks on again each time you open the app. So the job it lands on follows what is actually happening, not what was busiest the week you signed up.
