How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I compare two revisions of my quote?

  1. Open the quote and press Revisions on the band. Compare shows once the quote has two or more revisions.
  2. Press Compare under the quote name. It starts on the revision you have open and the one it revised. Change either box at the right to compare any two.
  3. The figures at the top give each price before GST, the difference, and how many lines were added, removed or changed.
  4. Each section follows as on the quote, every line with its figure in both revisions, the difference and a chip: Added, Removed, Changed or Same. A reworded line shows what it said before, and a moved quantity or rate says from what to what.
  5. Then the exclusions and clarifications that were added, removed or reworded, and the totals of both revisions with the difference.
  6. Use Filter and pick Only what changed to hide the lines that read the same. Download gives the whole comparison as a PDF, a Word file or a spreadsheet.
Worth knowing

A revision copies every line, so YourCA pairs a line with the same line in the other revision by its words. A line reworded so much that it shares few words reads as one removed and one added.
