Can I send my contract to the assistant?
- Open the job first. YourCA does not take a contract without a job.
- A contract filed against the wrong job puts the dates of that job on the clauses of another builder, and you cannot take it off again.
- Say you want YourCA to read your contract. It asks for the file. Drop it in, or press the button and pick it.
- It takes PDF or Word. Special conditions and annexures can come with it.
- YourCA holds the file in the conversation and shows its name and size on the card of answers. It does not go on the job yet.
- Holding it costs nothing and uses none of your included reviews.
- Then you choose.
- Read it in depth is the one that opens the clauses. I am comfortable with it holds the contract and reads nothing.
- The third answer carries forward what YourCA already read on an earlier contract. It shows only when there is something to carry.
- The last card shows every answer, including the file.
- The press puts the contract on the job, and does the rest in the same act. If the job does not take the file, the card stays up with the reason, and nothing else is written.
- Before you press, YourCA says what an in depth read does to your bill. It reads this from your own plan and what is left of your included reviews.
- If YourCA could not read your plan, it says so. It does not assume the read is covered.
- If a review is included, it runs from the conversation and costs nothing.
- YourCA shows each step as it finishes it. You can close the panel and come back.
- When it is done, each term is its own row: the figure, the clause it came from and your contract's own words.
- A term your contract does not state shows as not read and not guessed. It also shows what a guessed figure would have cost you.
Worth knowing
YourCA does not take a payment inside a conversation. If the read costs extra, or YourCA could not read your plan at all, it starts nothing. It takes you to the Contract tab, where the price shows before anything is charged. Your contract is on the job either way, so nothing is lost. If the read fails, YourCA says which of three things happened: it could not read the file, the read failed at our end, or the file is not a subcontract at all. It never tells you your contract is silent on something when the truth is that we could not read it.
