How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I delete a variation?

  1. Both are on the row. Press the approval status for Drop it. Or press What to do with it, at the end of the row, for either.
  2. Drop it shows on any variation that no claim has carried, including one the builder already approved. It asks why, and the reason goes on the row.
  3. Throw it away shows only on a variation that has gone nowhere: still a draft, no notice recorded, never put to the builder, never on a claim. That is the one raised on the wrong job, or entered twice on the same morning.
  4. Any other variation stays on your register with its reference, its build-up, its notice date and its reason. Your claims show it struck through.
Worth knowing

If a claim names a variation, you cannot drop it or delete it. Your served claim must stay reproducible from the register behind it. For a correction, raise a further variation.
