Where does this job stand?
- Open Financials. It opens on the Overview.
- Read the ladder down: head contract value, plus approved variations, equals the adjusted contract value. Then claimed, certified, paid, retention held against its cap, and what is outstanding, with the age of the oldest part.
- Under the ladder, What falls due, and when charts what is owed by the day it falls due.
- Pending variations sit beside the total, not inside it, and are marked as not in it. An unapproved variation is not contract value, and you cannot claim it as if it were. If you count it, you believe you are owed more than you can ask for.
- Every figure has its definition and formula on the (i). Every figure is also a link. Press the amount to open the section it came from: outstanding opens your claims, and retention held opens Retention.
- A figure with a count beside its name opens in place. Press the name to list the claims or variations behind it. Press one to open that claim or variation.
- Under the list, YourCA adds the lines up. If they do not come to the figure above, it says so, with both numbers and the difference. It does not show only the one that agrees.
- Build claim is at the right end of the Overview's band, with the number of the next claim on it. Where a draft is already open it says Continue instead. Two drafts for one period can claim work twice, or not at all. On the Claims register, the same button takes you straight to the claim it opens.
- If YourCA cannot work out a figure, it never shows a zero. It names what is missing. The link beside it goes to the screen that fixes it.
- Download, beside Build claim, puts the same position on one page as a PDF, a Word file or a spreadsheet. It is for an owner, a partner or the bank.
Worth knowing
Claimed to date is the stored total on each served claim. It includes GST and is already net of retention. The contract value excludes GST. So the share beside claimed is a guide, not a ceiling, and the (i) on that figure says so.
