First, decide which of two things happened, because the answers are opposite.
If the builder sent a payment schedule you disagree with, do not withdraw anything. Record their schedule against the claim. Carry the shortfall onto your next claim. The gap between what you claimed and what they certified is your evidence.
If you and the builder agree the claim itself was wrong, pick "Withdraw and re-serve" from the Actions menu at the end of the claim's row on Financials, Claims. For example, the work is not as far along as the claim says. It opens the claim at that card.
Say in one line why you withdraw it. The line shows on the claim that replaces it, so write what you want to read in six months.
YourCA keeps the served claim exactly as it went out. It marks it withdrawn, with today’s date and your reason. It takes it out of everything you claimed so far. The claim stays on the register, and you can still open it and export it.
A new draft opens at the same claim number and the next revision. It already carries the figures the withdrawn claim asked for. Change the lines that were wrong. Serve it as you serve any claim.
The replacement keeps the same period and reference date, because it is the claim for that period, not a further one. The date of service, and every date counted from it, come from the day you actually serve the replacement.
Any variation the withdrawn claim carried goes back unclaimed, so the replacement can ask for it again.
