How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I import my clients?

  1. Export your contacts as a spreadsheet or CSV from the tool you use now. A contact export from Xero, MYOB, Tradify, simPRO, Fergus or ServiceM8 works as it comes.
  2. Open Directory in the side menu and press Company directory. Then press Clients for the builders who pay you, or Suppliers for the firms you buy from.
  3. Press Add, the main press on the band, then Add a list of companies, and choose the file. On a phone, press the plus in the middle of the bottom bar.
  4. YourCA reads the company, contact, email, phone, ABN and address from the columns it knows, and leaves the rest.
  5. A list uploaded on Clients is filed as clients. A list uploaded on Suppliers is sorted by its type or trade column, and a row with none is a supplier.
  6. It says how many were added, how many were merged with a company you already had, and how many rows had no name or email and were skipped.
Worth knowing

Uploading the same list again merges and does not make duplicates, so you can fix the file and run it again. A row with an email that is not a real address stops the whole file and names the row.
