How YourCA works, step by step.

Why can I not see the photo I attached to an inspection point?

  1. Open the point from the due list, or from its plan under Plans. Every point opens there, including signed ones.
  2. Read down to the response. The photos are under it. Press one to open it full size.
  3. The photos are still there after a reload and on any device you sign in from. They load with the plans and are not held in the browser that took them.
  4. A supporting document is different. The response names it in words and does not show it as a picture, because the file is a row in the document register of this job.
  5. Open it from Documents, where YourCA filed it when you attached it. Anybody else on the job finds it there too.
  6. Both go inside the plan you give the builder. So the record and the evidence always go together.
  7. If a photo could not load, the response still says how many photos are attached. It does not show an answer with nothing behind it.
  8. A photo attached ON a point is half of its response. So the two wait together or fail together, and the record is never in two parts.
  9. If the point is signed on the paper copy, the phone holds the photographs, the paper and the response as one item. They go up together.
  10. If the point is signed in the app, none of them waits, because that signature cannot wait.
Worth knowing

Nobody can edit or remove what is recorded on a point. A correction is a new response. The earlier response stays under it with its own evidence. That makes the record worth something in a year.
