How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I write a letter of offer?

  1. Open Company admin, then Terms, and pick Letters of offer. Type the award or agreement, the ordinary hours, probation, notice, where they work and who they report to.
  2. Add any other term every letter carries, one to a box, with Add another term. Press Save terms.
  3. Open the person’s row in Directory, Company directory, Your people. On the Starter pack, the pencil on the letter of offer opens Edit the letter of offer.
  4. Every line is filled from your standard terms and their record. Type their position and rate of pay, change any line that is different for them, and press Save. A line you change is kept for that person only.
  5. Press Download on the Starter pack for the letter on your letterhead, to print and sign.
Worth knowing

The letter terms and each letter show to a role with the Run pay switch, because a letter carries a rate of pay. Check the rate against the award before you sign. This is general information, not legal advice. For your own situation, call the Fair Work Ombudsman on 13 13 94 or ask an employment lawyer. Checked by YourCA on 20 October 2026.
