How YourCA works, step by step.

When do I have to pay super?

  1. The super guarantee is 12% of each employee's qualifying earnings.
  2. Give a new employee the Superannuation standard choice form within 28 days of their start date. If they have not named a fund when the first payment is due, pay their stapled super fund, which the ATO tells you. If they have none, pay your default fund.
  3. In YourCA, Pay run under Schedule, Hours shows the super for each person beside their gross wages, at the super rate in your pay rules. Your payroll software pays it.
