How do I record hours?
- Give the person a site login under Your crew on the Schedule tab.
- Roster them to the job for the day. You need both: the clock offers only the jobs somebody is scheduled to that day, and nothing if they are scheduled to none.
- They clock on and off themselves, on their phone. For a person who could not, such as a labour hire worker with no login, press Record hours for somebody on Hours under Schedule, and say why.
- Open the Site tab and the diary for that day. What the day already has carries the hours: each person, when they started, when they finished, and how long, with the total for everybody.
- A person still on the clock shows as still on, not as a running figure. Their hours are not in the total yet. A number that changes each time you look is not a record.
- For the whole crew over a period, open Hours under Schedule. Pick the dates. Read the hours by person, with each of their shifts under them. Download the record itself as a file. Anybody whose role rosters the crew can open it.
Worth knowing
A worker can correct their own times on the day of that shift. YourCA writes a correction as a new entry that points back at the original. It does not write over it, so the diary shows what changed. Only the office changes hours the office entered for them, so their phone says so and offers no fix. YourCA records what a phone reported when somebody tapped. That is a claim by that phone. It is not proof that a person was on site, and nothing in the product presents it as proof.
