How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I attach a drawing to an rfi?

  1. The quickest way is on the form itself.
  2. Raise an RFI has Attach anything that shows what you mean at the bottom. Record the answer has Attach what came back.
  3. Pick a photo, a sketch or a marked-up drawing. It goes with that action.
  4. You can attach up to twenty files to one action, up to 40MB each.
  5. They upload one at a time. The form does not save while one is still uploading. So nothing you picked is lost without a warning.
  6. If a file does not upload, take it off the list and record the action without it. What the builder said matters more than the sketch. Do not lose the answer because of a file.
  7. To point to a document already on the register of this job, press the question to open it. Use Linked to this question or Linked to the answer.
  8. These are different from the files above them. Sent with the question and Came back with the answer show what actually went out and came in. They are fixed after the question is issued.
  9. You can add or remove a linked item at any time, because filing something is not evidence that you sent it.
  10. Press any attached file to open it.
  11. Take it off removes it from the question. If it is a register document, it stays on the register.
Worth knowing

A picture you attach here went out with the question. A site photo is something that happened, and you take it on the Site tab. You cannot attach anything to a question that is closed out or withdrawn. What it held when you closed it is the purpose of close out.
