How YourCA works, step by step.

Where is that drawing?

  1. Documents holds what arrives: drawings, specifications, requests for information and submittals.
  2. Drop what the builder sent anywhere on the page. Or press File what arrived at the right of the section band on Current revisions.
  3. Add one on the header row of the register, filing a file from Files, and Add tender docs all open that same sheet. So you get one set of questions whichever way you come in.
  4. Each file is a line. YourCA reads its number and revision from the file name.
  5. If the register already holds that number, YourCA fills in the revision it replaces and its title. Check them and change anything wrong.
  6. Add one opens with an empty line and asks for the file on it, because nothing is filed without the document behind it.
  7. If the papers came under a transmittal or a covering letter, tick that on the sheet. Give its reference and subject. Every document stays linked to it.
  8. If you leave it unticked, the documents are filed on their own.
  9. From Tender docs, the sheet also offers Priced from these, already ticked. It ticks the documents onto the draft quote with the same press.
  10. Drawings keep their revision series. So a superseded sheet points to the one that replaced it, and does not disappear.
  11. Each row is one line: the number, the title and the revision you build to.
  12. Press the row to open it in place. It shows every revision, when each one arrived and what brought it.
  13. On a phone, the row shows the number and the revision. The rest is one press away.
  14. Search a register from its own header row. On every register here, the box is to the right of the views, with Add one and Export the register beside it.
  15. The x inside the box clears what you typed with one press.
  16. What you file is on your account, not on the machine you filed it from. So it is there on site and for anyone else in your business.
Worth knowing

The date it arrived with you and the date printed on the drawing are different facts. YourCA keeps them apart. The first date decides whether you were told in time.
