How YourCA works, step by step.

Is my upload scanned for viruses?

  1. The size, the type and the number of files have limits. YourCA accepts only formats it can read.
  2. Then YourCA reads the contents.
  3. A file named as a PDF, a Word file or a spreadsheet may contain a program, an archive or a web page. YourCA refuses it and never stores it. So nobody can file a renamed executable on a job.
  4. YourCA gives a stored file back as a download under the type its extension promises, not the type the file claimed. Photos and PDFs still open in place.
  5. A file attached to an email you CC or forward to a job goes through the same three checks, with the same limits. YourCA refuses it for the same reasons. There is no second, easier way in.
Worth knowing

Treat a document from a party you do not know the same way as in your email. On an email to a job, this is exactly true: the sender shown is only what the message claimed about itself. After you start to CC a job, the builder and whoever they copy in can write to it. If a file you know is safe does not upload, first check it opens on your own machine. Then send it to admin@yourca.ai.
