How YourCA works, step by step.

How do I draw markup on the claim plan?

  1. Open the board: the Takeoff on the Quote tab, the Claim plan on a claim in Financials, Locations or Defects, Defect plans, on the Site tab. Show the drawing you want to mark.
  2. Press a markup tool on the board’s toolbar: Pen, Notes, Shapes, Symbol, Stamp or Eraser. On a phone they are under the one pen press.
  3. On the Takeoff, you draw straight onto the takeoff, under its measured shapes. Press a measure tool, such as Line, to go back to measuring.
  4. On the Claim plan, Locations or a Defect plan, the sheet opens in a frame of its own with that tool, stamp or symbol in hand, and every other Tender walk tool beside it. Draw, then press Close the markup, or Esc.
  5. What you draw saves as you go, and on a phone with no signal it waits on the phone and goes up when you have signal. The marks show on the board, under its zones, layers or defects, which stay what a press reaches.
  6. To read the board clean, press "..." and Hide markup. It is hidden for you only, on that board, until you press Show markup.
Worth knowing

Each board keeps its own markup. A line on the Claim plan’s A-101 is not on Locations’ A-101, the Takeoff or the Tender walk. Someone who cannot change a board can open its markup but not draw on it.
