How do I record a toolbox talk?
- Open Toolbox talks on the Site tab and press Add a talk. Fill in the day, who gave it, the topic and what was covered.
- What was covered takes bold, italics, underline and bullets, so your team reads the talk as you wrote it. On the opened talk it shows last, across the full width.
- Open the talk and press Ask your team to sign. A question first says how many people on Your team get it on their phone, and that the talk cannot be changed once asked. Press Ask them to sign.
- On the phone the talk is a banner over the tiles, and the Toolbox talks tile carries a red count of the talks waiting for their signature. They press Read and sign, read it, tick the line and sign it.
- If you are on Your team and you sign in at the office, the talk waits for you too. The Dash says the talk is waiting for your signature, with Read and sign. The opened talk on Site has Sign it. Either opens the same sign sheet the crew use, and you sign only for yourself.
- The register shows how many have signed. Somebody added to Your team later is asked when you press Ask anyone new on the team.
- Once anybody is asked, the talk is fixed. If it was recorded by mistake, mark it as recorded in error and say why. The signatures stay.
- The download on an opened talk gives the talk on your letterhead, with What was covered as you wrote it. Add the sign-on list is ticked from the start, so the attendance sheet with every signature goes with it. Untick it to give the talk to somebody who was not there.
Worth knowing
Only people on Your team for this job are asked. Add them in the Project directory first.
